The Airbus A380

The Airbus A380 is the biggest passenger jet in the world. This beast can carry up to 853 passengers, which is about four times more than a normal jet. The Airbus A380 was a success. Its first flight was on the 27th of April 2005. The introduction of the first Airbus ever sold was to Singapore Airlines on October 25th, 2007, and it’s currently still in service. Emirates, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, and Qantas use the Airbus A380 regularly. There are currently 254 A380s in service in the world right now. But why is this massive jet a success compared to the American Boeing 747? The most important thing is the fuel consumption. The Airbus A380 Burns 4,062 gallons of fuel per hour, meanwhile the Boeing 747-800 burns about 8,000 gallons of fuel per hour. So not only is the A380-800 more fuel efficient, but it also carries more passengers thanks to its double-decker feature. Also, the Airbus A380 is one of the safest jets that has ever been built the Airbus A380 had multiple incidents including engine failures, engine explosions, hull damage Etc…, but out of all these things, not a single passenger, crew, or Pilot got hurt or injured. Overall, the Airbus A380 is the king of the Skies and will continue to soar on for however long it lasts.
